Troubleshooting Playback Issues

Post by Radiosoft »

If a file does not play in RADIO Player Pro v.2, you hear noise or distortion, audio quality is poor, the program skips or jumps, or you encounter similar issues — follow this guide.

Make sure you are using the latest drivers for your sound card before proceeding.

For maximum compatibility, we recommend using MP3 files encoded with the Lame encoder.

Fixing and re-encoding files (MP3Converter)

The utility avoids quality loss where possible: if feasible, it only corrects ID3 tag format without re-encoding the audio content itself. VBR is disabled, as we do not recommend its use.

Installation

Download the archive from radiosoft.pro/files/tools/MP3Converter.zip, extract it to any folder, and run MP3Converter.exe.

Usage

Specify the folder containing your files. Enable Search in subfolders if you need to process nested folders.
  • Click Check files (without changes) to analyze files without modifying anything.
  • Click Run conversion (with changes) to apply fixes.
Settings
  • Rewrite MP3 tags of incompatible files — updates tags only for files the program identified as incompatible.
  • Rewrite MP3 tags of ALL files — forces tag update for all files.
  • Rewrite MP3 tags and re-encode incompatible files — updates tags for problem files; if a file remains broken after the tag update, it is re-encoded.
  • Re-encode files not encoded with Lame — re-encodes all files not previously encoded with Lame.
  • Re-encode files encoded with VBR — re-encodes all files previously encoded with variable bitrate.
  • Re-encode ALL files (*.mp3, *.wav) — re-encodes all files to MP3 format.
