Multi-step spot fill (decrochaж) is a method of filling the remaining time in an ad block using several categories of audio content selected together. Unlike regular spot fill — where the program picks files from a single folder — multi-step fill lets you build a combination from different file types (decro tracks, tortiads, jingles, shifts, etc.) with a defined order and multiple selection attempts.
Available in RADIO AdsMan Pro v.2.8.10 or later.
How it works
Two key parameters in block decoration settings control the behavior:
Group Number — groups multiple decoration positions together. All positions sharing the same non-zero group number are processed jointly: one file is selected from each position in the group.
Attempt Numbers — define in which selection attempt a position is used. The program tries each attempt in order until it finds a combination that fills the block to the required duration. If no attempt achieves an exact match, the closest result is used.
General fill settings (tolerance, duration limits, etc.) are taken from the first position in the group (by its order in the Block Positions reference). The order of positions in the reference also determines the playback order in the final playlist.
Configuration
- Create the required decoration positions in the Block Positions reference. Each file category (e.g. decro tracks, tortiads, jingles) should have its own position.
- For each position in the block decoration settings:
- Set type Folder and specify the files folder.
- Set mode Time-based fill (random).
- Assign the same Group Number (e.g. 1) to all positions in the group.
- Set the Attempt Numbers in which this position should participate.
- Arrange the positions in the desired order in the reference — this order will be preserved in the final playlist.
First, list all the combinations you want to use. Each combination is one attempt. Then for each position, specify the attempt numbers in which it participates.

- Decro — specially edited songs (1.5, 2, or 3 min)
- Tortiad — short clips of popular songs (15, 30, 45, 60 sec)
- Jingle — short jingles (2–17 sec, 1-sec steps) for precise timing; mandatory at the end
