Idea for some freatures needed

Post by Radio Lechtal »

Here are some ideas for you of things wich would make your Radio player the ultimate tool ever:

1:
It would be great, if there would be a possibility to add external files and urls into a playlist or even let the player play an external stream in the list. This is a freature we permanently use and need for example to switch into programs of our Partnerradios while our Programm is running!
also we play news from a file which is always updetet in our webside. If the player would play also from extarnal source and from internetsource .. great it woudl be LOl

2:
We receive News and Reports from Media content Providers who providing ftp access to get certain mp3 just in time - fEx: hourely News

So it would be great if the Player would have the possibility to open a ftp server and fetch a certain file to be placed just in time into the playlist. and this in a certain cycle fEx: every hour

3:
It would just be the Cream on the Cakle if the Programm would be able to play wma files from Yahoo or Napster which have a lizenced encryption

This are just some Ideas we had while testing and working with the Demo

Keep it up ... Great Program
Andy

Thanks for the suggestions.
1. For now streaming capabilities is not in our plans.

2. We will try to implement FTP downloads in future versions.
This means that file would be downloaded from ftp to local drive and then played.

3. We hope that appropriate WMA DirectShow decoder will solve this issue.
Microsoft forced many of developers who implemented WMA playback to stop their development (Winamp WMA playback is an example), but third party developers work on it an we have several ways to Play WMA not only from Windows Media Player.
